Started a new Historical file in 1917. Everything was fine until I lost a goalie (Retired) and none were available for free agency.

My fix was to just swap a cruddy defender to back-up goalie because I didn't need a back-up goalie.

Now whenever I try to sim by day/week/whatever period, the game crashes. If I go into the game screen and force my real goalie in, the game sims fine.

I've turned on goalie swap strats to never play the back-up, checked to disallow the AI to swap them, but it still tries to play the defender at goalie, and the game crashes.
