All politics aside, I could never understand why Indians fans were so attached to the damned thing. I mean, it's not exactly part of a winning tradition.
I could maybe see it if they'd won twelve championships with that as their logo, but come on. None since 1948. At this point, I'd think they'd figure it was part of a curse, and be glad to get rid of it.
