Hey, I've come across this before. What worked for me was going through and making sure I had enough people in certain positions. What i mean is actually changing their position by right clicking on them and hitting change position. I'm trying to remember exactly what the issue was, and I think I had to change a forward to a defenseman or something like that. Hilariously, I later have tried this with the goalie position, changing a defenceman into a goalie, using him for a backup, and praying he wouldn't get used. Worked fine
