We started the week off on the road against the
Montreal Expos. We won the first game 4-3, with
Bruce Ruffin earning the win, going 6.1 IP giving up 3 runs striking our 7.
David Wells and
Michael Jackson finished the last 2.3 IP with 0 runs, 1 hit, 1 BB and 4 Ks. The offense was paced by
Mike Gallego going 4 for 4 with a 2B, 1 R and 1 RBI. The we took the second game behing 7 strong innings from
Kevin Gross (1 R, 5 H, 2 BB, 10 K).
Daren Daulton and
Mike Schmidt went deep. We lost the final game 11-7 as
