Just my opinion but I pay little attention to that or any match up until a higher leverage situation occurs. In both cases (pitcher and catcher) the respective managers are committed to a lineup and a SP for 3-5 innings minimum unless the SP gets lit up early. Does a 3 run HR with 1 out do that? Maybe if this is the "must win" game for the Geinke side in this series. Generally no IMO.
Even later with high leverage I''m not likely to PH for Donaldson unless I have a monster LHB with power vs a RH reliever. Seems unlikely because such a batter would already be in the lineup.
