One thing I would really love to see in the future is the addition of player agents and relationships.
For example a super agent like Boras would have negative relationships and it would be harder to sign his players as free agents to small market teams like Tampa Bay and Oakland, and he would have positive relationships with teams like the Nationals, Red Sox, Dodgers, Yankees, etc., but as a GM you can work on your relationships by "overpaying" for his clients or something.
Also relationships between other AI GM's. The older NHL GM Modes had this feature and I thought it was really cool. It was almost impossible to trade with rivals unless you really overpaid, but if you made more deals with the same GM you had a positive relationship with them and it was easier to make trades with them. In OOTP, this could be done similarly but it could also be cumulative, meaning that if the GM for the Rockies, for example had a bad relationship with the GM for the Cubs for whatever reason, if he switched teams he would still have a bad relationship with the Cubs GM, but the Cubs GM would have a neutral relationship with whomever was taking over for. I want this feature because it seems like my Yankees always make trades with the same teams (Pirates, DBacks and Tigers) and would be cool if they had something similar in OOTP.
I know these features would be difficult to implement, but I think it would be really cool and would be more immersive. I would be more interested to read news stories about who the AI is hiring as their next GM and what that might mean for me acquiring talent in trades.
