Frederick "Dupee" Shaw 1883
The attached woodcut is from the book Baseball's First Stars, a 1996 SABR publication edited by Frederick Ivor-Campbell, Robert Tiermann, and Mark Rucker. I have a hunch that it's an enlargement of the woodcut of Dupee which appeared in the Nov. 10, 1883 issue of the New York Clipper.
