Today, the man responsible for bringing baseball to Miami, Wayne Huizenga, passed away at 80. He was owner of the Marlins, Florida Panthers, and Miami Dolphins. He founded Blockbuster, Waste Management, AutoNation, and Extended Stay America. My younger brother actually knows his grandson.

It's a sad day in South Florida, as he really did a lot for the area, even if he didn't do the best with his ownership of the Marlins. He did win them a World Series.
