yes, you can import players from different eras. takes a bit of work. i import real players via text files in my fictional league each year, but i just use that one particular year... so i am not the best to explain how to use players from various years, but the post below give a bit more info and hopefully help.

The import function is on the free agent page, far right drop down menu - import historical players. Maybe the manual will make it a tad more clear than this write up.

as far as making your own schedule ... that may not be easy. however, in the mods section of this forum, there's a whole mountain of premade-working schedules that will more than likely fit any league you create. And if not, there are people who try to fill requests. And there is a schedule maker program, which i discovered is far too complex for my old and simplified mind. Lots and lots to sift through.
