I have a player with the following contract:

2018 $15m
2019 $16m team option w/ $2M buyout
2020 $18m player option

If I cut him, it adds to my expenses his salary from 2018 (fine), his buyout for 2019 (fine), and his entire $18m salary for 2020 (problem).

Shouldn’t he not get anything for 2020? It's recognizing that I am not exercising the team option, doesn't that wipe out the player option?
