I needed a catcher in the offseason (according to my owner). I was plenty happy with the guy I had, but I figured why not? It was a weird signing...he was in my minor league system, then became a free agent. I signed him for 4 years at 40.5 million. He looked like a world beater, but 1 month into the season, his ratings dropped like a stone. I knew he wasn't going to hit .300, but he's such a disappointment, I'm thinking about putting the 10 million dollar man on the bench. What could have gone wrong so soon on this guy? He's 24, so there's time, but I thought there would be progression instead of regression.

Just an FYI: I may be premature in giving up on the guy and that may stem from the way I play. I do play by play, all 162 games...so I see this guy hit groundout after groundout and this may be a frustration thread. LOL
