Bad news for the Steamrollers. They lost one Mackay Brother to the Taranaki Bulls and now they've lost the other to injury. Ciaran Mackay will miss the next 5-6 weeks with a partially torn labrum.
The Shield
More movement for The Shield, the Otago Thunderbolts defend against the Tasman Sunbirds but lose it to the Bay of Plenty Steamrollers (first time they've held it). They go on to lose it to the Canterbury Red Knights (also first time they've held it).
The Red Knights successfully defend the Shield against the Auckland Aces and will next need to defend it against the Northland Giants in December.
