I mean there are two options available for you to play now without having to wait for in-game mods:
1. Play using the generic ballpark supplied with game as I described in my post above. If you do this, you can still install the cosmetically-correct parks to your existing league LATER when the in-game mod is ready. It won’t change how your league plays out; they just look realistic. The two steps to use Addons Central are download and install (two mouse clicks), so it is pretty simple. I can’t explain why people would have problems with that.
2. You could download the historical parks now from the mods forum and install them manually. The instructions for installing them can be found on the mods forum. I don’t use them myself, so I can’t help you further with this or explain why other people may be having problems. These are mods, so they aren’t supported by the developers either. If you don’t feel that you can handle the installation, then you probably shouldn’t use them.
