I think I may have found a solution.
1. change opening day date. In this case a week later from March 22 to March 29.
2. Go into edit league structure, and "generate new schedule"
You must do the second step in order for this to work.
SO the only downside is that the Mexican League will be starting one week late, and will be using a fictional schedule.
