the guy hit 360, so...

this game doesn't really track how the ball flies... it's a probabilty of various results. there's no physics or handling gravity etc. wind may influence probabiltiy of course. from what i know. what you see in 3d view is just theatrics.

HRs cannibalize doubles and triples. doubles and triples cannibalize HR.

take any "line drive" hitter and increase their power and they will now be a flyball hitter. nothing really changed with their gap. nothing really changes with how they hit the ball (in ootp)

the line drive vs flyball is just about power and gap or namely lack of power.
