e.g. if you change some of those dropdowns optiosn on left side of screen related to frequency of something, but keep same total, it will drastically shift the modifier.
about mods and what htey mean.. no it doens't mean that.
if it's currently .500 and after autocalculating it goes to .250, it reduced the resutls by ~50%. or better phrase: probability of those results (the totals)
if you increase a modifier by 10%, you will increase the output of the related stat by 10%...
this also assumes you change nothing else at the same time.. otherwise it gets a bit dicey to predict.
in my experience, odd modifiers are quite common in minor leagues... even in majors for something like OF Assists.. in years past ~.300-.350 is typically normal. the modifier itself relates to other things, so no worries what the value specifically is. just adjust from there as i mentions.. if after a year you review stats and want "10%" more of something, then increse current modifier for that stat by 10%.

For the sake of clarity, let's just say I have the HR total set to 1,000 and the modifier is set to .500 ... how many HR's will that result in?
And then, the following season, I leave the HR total at 1,000 and change the modifier from .500 to .250 ... how many HR's will that result in?
As for the frequency/drop-downs you mention, below is the entire Stats & AI screen. Which specific drop-downs on the left are you referring to?
