American League
May Update

Cleveland Blues (21-6 in May)
Bill Henry Taylor (12-4, 2.10 era) is the current team leader. Cap Anson (.349, 7 HR, 34 RBIs) is still chugging along.

Washington Nationals (18-10 in May)

Ed Morris (12-4, 1.36 era) is the surprise for our team. Second year man John Clarkson (8-7, 2.05 era) is starting to turn around. Abner Dalrymple (.297, 7 HR, 31 RBIs) is having a very good season.

St Louis Browns (18-11 in May)

Tim Keefe (12-5, 1.85 era) and Ned Hanlon (.266, 5 HR, 31 RBIs) are leading the Browns. Charlie Buffington (11-1, 1.66 era) is on a roll.

Detroit Wolverines (18-10 in May)

Dave Orr (.356, 3 HR, 31 RBIs) is repeating what he did last season. Mickey Welch (12-5, 1.10 era) is one of several 12 game winners.

Baltimore Orioles (11-18 in May)
The only standout is Charlie Sweeney (8-6, 1.57 era).

Louisville Eclipse (7-20 in May)
Pete Browning (.315 3 HR, 26 RBIs) cooled off a bit and Ed Daily (7-8, 2.77 era) struggled.

New York Metropolitans (10-17 in May)
New York had a decent month of May. Bob Barr (7-9, 2.36 era) and Bob Emslie (8-8, 2.72 era) are holding up the tent.

Philadelphia Athletics (9-20 in May)

Horrible month for Philly. Perry Werden (3-10, 3.65 era). Pitching staff is rated last in the AL.
