if revenues go up, player demands will go up too. most teams will have to pay attention, yes. thy won't be able to sign any and evreyone each FA.
i think a small ramp up is normal in any new league (even a real mlb league to lesser effect - more related to fan interest than other factors).. the initial distribution of fan interest, local media contracts and initial gate revenue estimates may not match what will happen in practice in ensuing years. once all of that works itself out, it'll be a normal ebb and flow due to context of each year. max contracts will stay within a certain range unless you change finance settings.
there is an inflation setting... i think default it is 0, so unless you turned it on, it should reach some equillibrium state based on other financial settings. it just may not be exactly in that range the first year or so.
unless you can afford 300-350M payroll in a near default modern finance setting league, you will definiteyl have to make tough choices, eventually.
trick is to trade before they age/ratings drop etc... if you consitently do this, you should have a cavalcade of premium prospects moving through your MiL system. what you traded for 3-5 years ago should be about what will be aged/traded 3-5 years from then

i trade when a prospect is ready, and make sure the term they signed will cover that gap. 1-3 years left when traded isn't a roadblock.
