not sure if it matters at all.. but i try to promot to "proper" mil level first day of offseason as well as checking any borderline guys every couple months.

i only do this for the ~5-20 players i care about at any given time in MiL.

if they are on 40-man, that's probably better than AAA, but it starts the proverbial clock. i only do this if i know for sure they are going to be on my 25-man roster for the upcomingn year. if they aren't starter or backup i won't do it. depth can stay in AAA and leave a spot open on 40-man so that their mlb service time doesn't start until an injury happens, if at all.

plying time helps in MiL, so a winter league or tourney is probably the only way to have any noticeably improve developement.

wear and tear is a real effect in ootp, too.. so, think twice with C and SP. maybe not great for a former 18year SP draftee/IAFA old with 5-7 pro years and a lot of mileage on their arm already.
