Problem solved.
Went to the purchase tab in the App Store and it installed the update over what I had in there so all is well.
Thank you guys for your help. In the future in my scenario just tell them to go into the purchase tab in the App Store and it will say install-click it and thats all she wrote.
Thats all there is to it.
