I am a relative newbie to OOTP. In my current project I created a historical league which started in 1976 with a fantasy draft of the existing player pool into 12 AL and 12 NL teams. Each season the teams with the worst records draft first among the available free agents each year.

I just finished 1977 season. Two hall of famers are in the 1978 free agent draft pool: Ozzie Smith and Paul Molitor.

Who would you select if you had the first pick? The team that has the first pick currently has Robin Yount and Lou Whitaker on their roster. Would you take Smith and carry two SS until 1985 when Yount moved to OF or take Molitor?
