April 26th 1886 Update
The first update of the season sees the Washington Nationals holding on to second place. This season will see a new member of the starting rotation. Rookie Ice Box Chamberlain (3-2, 2.45 era)
joins Ed Morris (4-2, 2.83 era) and Jack Clarkson (4-2, 1.27 era). The Nationals are only a half game back of the Philadelphia Atheltics. As a team the Nationals are 6th in team batting with
Mike Tiernan (.308, 2 HR, 9 RBIs) and Curt Welch (.288, 7 RBIs) are producing.
Elsewhere in the league: Pete Browning (Louisville .413, 8 RBIs) leads the Al in batting. While Jimmy Ryan (Beaneaters .397, 3 HR, 11 RBIs) leads the NL. Toad Ramsey (Philadelphia 5-1, 1.19 era)
is the AL pitching leader and on the other side of the league Tommy Bond (Pitsburgh 5-0, 1.20 era) leads the NL.
