January 1st, 2022: I signed C Christian Bethancourt to be my back up catcher. He agreed to a 1-year, $2,400,000 contract. He isn't the best guy, but he's got a cannon and can play a little bit in the field as well.

January 2nd, 2022: The Phillies signed 2B Jonathan Schoop to a 3-year, $20,300,000 contract. The 30-year-old is a career .267/.308/.470 hitter in 1,124 games with Baltimore and Oakland.

January 3rd, 2022: I claimed 1B Luken Baker from the Phillies and outrighted him down to A+ Jupiter.

January 8th, 2022: The Phillies added another back, this time 3B Kyle Seager as they look to make a return to the playoffs. He'll earn $38,400,000 for the next 4 years, with the final a vesting option requiring 135 games. The per year value is $9,600,000 through the length of the contract. The 34-year-old spent 1,627 games in Seattle hitting .260/.331/.446 with 257 homers and 850 RBI's.

January 12th, 2022: The Royals sent 1B Chris J. Shaw to the Tigers for C Michael Arroyo. It seems like a very even transaction.

January 13th, 2022: I signed LHP Aaron Loup to a 1-year, $1,700,000 contract. I kind of wish I didn't, as his ratings have declined since the offer, but he's good left handed depth. To make room, I designated Kenyan Middleton for assignment.

A bigger deal happened where the Cubs signed Cuban superstar Jorge Flores to a 7-year, $177,000,000 contract. Those stupid Cubs... "Beer Barrel" is definitely a star in the making, and at just 28 he's got 92/61/74 ratings for a perfect 5* overall.

January 18th, 2022: The Reds signed SP Zack Davies to a 6-year, $103,500,000 contract, which means I will recieve a compensation pick. It's ironic, cosindering I traded for SP Tyler Mahle, a former Red, so it's almost like another part of that trade. Almost 29, he's 70-53 with a 4.10 ERA and 1.30 WHIP, but last year was a career year, 11-7 with a 3.41 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, and 106 strikeotus in 31 starts and an extra inning relief appearence.

I also claimed CF Larry Ernesto off waviers from the Brewers, and remember this name. The 21-year-old will head to the DSL, and is a legitimate top ptospect, 4.5* potential with great speed, an elite defensive outfielder, and a nice bat with solid pop. Don't know why no one else placed a claim on him...

January 19th, 2022: We've got three new Hall of Famers, SS Alex Rodriguez, 1B David Ortiz, and SP Mike Mussina. A-Rod got 99% of the votes, Big Papi got 86.5%, and Moose got 82.6%.

Curt Schilling was dropped, his 10th year gave him just 69.9%. No one else got more then 35%.

The Yankees traded C Joey Bart to the Twins for RHP Zack Littell. Pretty even deal here.

January 20th, 2022: I outrighted Kenyan Middleotn to AAA.
