GM NOTE: News from the training room. It appears Juan Pedemonte is not recovering on schedule nor as expected. His timetable has been moved out from this week to “Unknown”. I don't like the sound of that and am kicking myself now for not having dealt him this winter. There were offers and I was made very aware of his fragile past....

GM NOTE: I'm only 5 games in I know, but there is a very disturbing pattern developing. One time through the rotation and I'd expect 30ish or so innings from the starters. To date they've pitched a grand total of 22.1 innings. On no planet does that work. That burns my pen by the all star break. I've met with KJ and we've talked about a longer leash. I know he's trying to win, and I am too, but given who and what we are we have to 'manage' some things a bit differently. Managed to snag a 28 year old FA outfielder named Kevin Curtis. Legit corner defender who has 2 hole skills as a hitter. No pop but puts the bat on the ball and gets his walks. I am going to roster him up and send him to AAA for now. Their season opens in 2 days.

(On a side note a HUGE THANK YOU to this community once again. Every team in every franchise has uniforms and logos thanks to this amazing group!. FWIW if anyone knows where I can get the uniforms and logos of the Korean, Chinese, Mexican league and a few others I'd be grateful!)
GM NOTES: Pre-game meeting with the skipper. 7 games into the season and Jimmy Owen has exactly ZERO plate appearances. Now I am NOT one to meddle, but I do expect that when I make an ask, or an order, it is followed. I thought we were in agreement that he would get a larger portion of the innings this first week? KJ tells me it was his fault and that he completely misunderstood our meeting earlier in the week? Rodolfo Duenas will go to the bench vs RHP, Romero and his .281 OBP will move to the 9 hole Silence will move to the top of the lineup and Jimmy will slide ,into the 2 slot. In other news Juan Pedemontes' DL time is up, but he isn't. I'm starting to think he may not throw a pitch this year. I don't know why but “Bicep Tendonitis” and “Forearm stiffness” are nine times out of ten code for “Tommy John”.

GM NOTES: Head Scout Luis Mora has sent his minions abroad as the preparation for the first ever amateur draft comes to a close. There's about 2 months left for them to come to some consensus on the talent pool. We have the 1st overall selection in the June Draft.

BRK 3 FLA 0 Jared Graham (W) POTG 8 SHO innings 3 H 3 K 0 BB. Darrin Downs throws 5 scoreless but Cardenas comes in and walks 5 over 1.1 innings for the loss.
LEAGUE NEWS: Doug Tune (SD) punched out 9 in a 10-0 win over Washington. Mike Torgenson (MIN) POTD 2-4 2 HR 4 RBI 15-2 win over Memphis. Whip Sonier (OK) 3-4 2B HR 4 RBI in 21-4!!! win over Portland.

WEEKLY SUMMARY
I didn't expect to win 150 gsmes this year. But I sure as heck didn't expect to lose that many. 1-8 after our 1st 9 games. Why? 14th in Runs 11th in AVG 10ths in OBP 14th in HR 12th in Starter and Bullpen ERA. Our Def is ranked 5th, so there's that....
