RED SOX LOSE 7TH IN A ROW, YET STILL IN RACE
In spite of a horrendous seven-game losing streak, Red Bluff (85-68) has managed to cling to the coattails of the Midway Wolves (86-67) in the fight for the Tycobbian East Division flag... the Middies have played poorly, too, and dropped three of their last four games... the Red Sox lost another important game yesterday on the road to the Mahaska Haymakers 7-2... Marty Mobley (14-21/3.35) easily outpitched 22-game winner Duane Sturgeon (22-12/2.90), stopping the Red Sox on six hits... a fifth-place club, the Haymakers (73-80) knocked him out in four innings, scoring six runs... in all, Mahaska pounded out 14 hits.
