League News: Over in the National League, Cincinnati, Chicago, and Boston are beating up on the rest of the league. With the Giants holding fast in fourth place. Not one batter or
pitcher stands out from those teams. Meanwhile over in the American League, St Louis still hold the top spot, with the Nationals falling to 5th Place with a 10-14 June. But still other
teams are bunched in between.
Eastern League Report
Former ML team the Providence Grays are the laughing stock on the Eastern League. The Grays have lost 11 straight games and
sit in last place. The Jersey City pitching trio of Jack McCarty (16-8, 3.43 era), James Sweeney (16-8, 4.07 era) and Henry Murphy
(15-11, 3.24 era) lead the Skeeters with a little more than half way into the season.
New England League
Billy O'Brien (Lyn, 3.29, 18 HR, 71 RBIs) leads all three leagues with his 18 HRs. Former St Louis Red Stockings pitcher
Terry Larkin (76-98, 2.37 era) has seen the most work with his 241 IP.
