The Continue Button will guide you through the news and only continues when you have read all. I guess at some point you left one out, that is the reason it jumps back to the news screen. You can delete all messages but if you donīt want to do that you can just go through them and see which one is unread (there is also a button to mark all news as read, should work as well).
