September 28th, 2023: Lewis Brinson is back just in time for the final series of the year, and has been activated from the disabled list.

The Orioles lost former Marlin Jeff Hoffman to a torn rotator cuff and will miss most of next year as well. With Baltimore, he never was as good as he was with me, and he's how I got Ryan Mountcastle. He'll finish this year 8-7 with a 5.50 ERA and 1.36 WHIP, on par with his career stats.

September 29th, 2023: Reizo Honda is headed to the DL with a sprained ankle. Obviously, his season is over, but it'll be a quick recovery for the rookie.

Jensen Elliot was named American Confrence Reliever of the Year while pitching for New Orleans. In 40 appearences, he pitched 87.1 innings with 87 strikeouts, and was 6-0 with a 1.75 ERA. The former 7th Rounder in 2018 is 1-1 with a 4.97 ERA and 1.66 WHIP for us in the majors in 12.2 innings.

We opened the final series of the year, hosting the Chicago White Sox for three. Jameson Taillon (7-6, 4.36 ERA, 1.29 WHIP) got the start against Hector Antonio Perez (6-9, 5.75 ERA, 1.69 WHIP). Brinson was back in the lineup, hitting 8th and playing RF. The bats exploded for 5 in the first, 4 in the 2nd, and 4 in the third, and we held of the Sox 15-10.

Taillon did not pitch well, 2.2 innings with 5 hits, 5 runs, 3 walks, and 3 strikeout. Shoehi Ohtani got the win, but allowed 3 in 0.1 innings with 3 hits and a strikeout. He's not pitching in the playoffs... Ben Popkin and Tyler Jay got holds pitching the 7th and 8th.

Cole Roederer was perfect, except he now has a mild calf strain. I'm benching him for the rest of the regular season to be sage. He was 4-for-4 with 2 runs scored, a walk, 4 RBI's, a pair of doubles and was a homer away from the cycle. He was an absolute steal in the Rule-5 Draft. Thomas Dillard was 2-for-6 with 3 runs, 3 RBI's, and a homer. Mickey Moniak was 3-for-5 with 2 runs scored, a walk, and 2 steals. In just 84 games, he has 31 steals. Nick Gordon was 1-for-3 with 2 walks, 2 runs, an RBI, and steal. Brendan Rodgers was 2-for-4 with a sac fly and 2 RBI's. Seth Beer was 1-for-3 with a sac fly, 2 walks, run scored, and RBI.

September 30th, 2023: The Boston Red Sox were eliminated from the playoffs. At 81-79, they're 3 games out of the AL Wild Card hunt, although 7 teams are fighting for 2 spots.

Walker Buehler (12-7, 3.46 ERA, 1.14 WHIP) took on Dane Dunning (9-12, 5.06 ERA, 1.54 WHIP) in game 161. We took the middle game 7-2 and will look to finish the sweep tomorrow.

Buehler went 5.2 innings, allowing a run, 4 hits, 3 walks, and 6 strikeouts. Koda Glover got a hold, 1.1 innings with 2 hits, a run, and 2 strikeouts. Max Povse and Corbin Burnes both tossed scorless frames to finish the game.

Nick Gordon was 2-for-4 with a run scored, 2 RBI's, and a double. Thomas Dillard was 1-for-4 with 2 RBI's and a double. Seth Beer was 2-for-3 with a walk and 2 runs scored. Mickey Moniak was 2-for-5 with 2 runs scored. Carlos Soler was 1-for-4 with a double. Adam Haseley was 1-for-3 with a 2 run double and a walk.

September 31st, 2023: Here's something I didn't expect, Garrett McDaniels was activated from the DL. I acquired him a long time back in the Felipe Rivero deal, but didn't expect him to be ready for the season. I trasnfered Honda to the 60-Day DL to activate him.

The Texas Rangers are headed to the playoffs and will host the Wild Card Game. At 86-75, it's their first appearence since 2017. With their clinch, the Tigers have been eliminated.

Atlanta clinched a wild card berth, and have a 1 game lead over the Mets and 1.5 game lead over the Dodgers.

I made a lot of changes for the final game. I let Jake Florence (13-10, 4.04 ERA, 1.41 WHIP) pitch aagainst his former team and Grant Townsend (3-1, 4.24 ERA, 1.22 WHIP) to show them what they'd be missing out on. I also rested a lot of my starters in the final game of the year. We tried coming back, but lost game 162, 4-3 to finish the season 96-66.

Flornece went just 4, allowing 6 hits, 4 runs, a walk, and 3 strikeotus. THe rest of the pen combined for 5 innings of no hit ball, with just a single walk, while striking out 5.

Nick Gordon was the only starter who started, going 2-for-4 with a run scored, walk, RBI, double, and homer. Lewis Brinson was 1-for-3 with a walk and two run homer. Nolan Gorman was 0-for-3, but walked, scored, and stole a bases. And even though we lost, at least we didn't get hurt.

October 2nd, 2023: The NL Playoffs are set, but the AL is not.

October 3rd, 2023: Luiz Gohara is back on the big league roster.

Forrest Whitely (7-19, 4.38 ERA, 1.45 WHIP) took on Mitchell Whtie (10-10, 3.50 ERA, 1.24 WHIP) in game 163 between the Astros and Mariners. Whitely was too much, as the Astros won 4-1 to edge the Mariners for the 2nd Wild Card Spot. They'd face the Ragners.

Our only leaderboard figures was Walker Buehler, who finished 2nd in strikeouts with 216. He trailed just Cubs ace Jorge Flores with 226.
