I am playing a career league with Historical Recalc (5 year) turned on. How does the game handle a player that has no career stats? Does it just ignore the recalc function for that player and let them develop normally (the OOPT development engine is turned on, using the basic Challenge mode settings).

I am trying to decide if it is worth holding onto players who are long past their real life retirement date or if they will still produce since their ratings remain high. Also I occasionally find the top prospect with great ratings but with no real life stats.
