    AGRESTA, TARPONS AGREE ON 1 YEAR EXTENSION
    During today's post-game press conference the Florida Tarpons announced they'd signed veteran starting pitcher Time Agresta, who had just put the finishing touches on a 2-hitter, to a 1-year 650K contract with incentives that could earn him up to 1.3m total.

  • SS Jeremy Crimi suffered a strained abdominal muscle and will be out for a month at least. He was off to a great start at Alamogordo hitting .311/.365/.500 with 6 HR and 44 TBI in 56 games.
  • 5th rounder Ken Miller signed and reported to Rio Rancho today
  • Jim Kalis of the Baylor Bears took home College Pitcher of the year. 6-3 0.79
  • 6/10: FLA 5 OH 4 Chase W (9-2 2.76) 6.2 IP 4 ER
  • San Diego Missions 1st rounder (8th overall) Bobby Ruppe was selected as the Golden Spikes winner awarded to the NCAA MVP. He helped propel Minnesota to its first NCAA title.
  • 6/11: OH 5 FLA 3 Ramirez ND 6 IP 9 K 1 ER Pen gives up 4 Turner L (0-2)
  • Shigozo Fujimori (OH) 3-3 2B HR 3 RBI
  • Alaska's Zach Greinke has been shut down for the season with an undisclosed elbow issue. Huge blow to Alaska's season. Greinke was 5-4 3.23 ERA after a 17-7 3.65 2005.
