Week 13

SUBJECT: WEEK 13 NOTES
SCHEDULE:
3 vs Brooklyn
3 @ New York

As much as I wanted him to finish the run Bryan Holaday is struggling too much to wait. I need more offense and Mike Lyon is ready for AAA. Max Ramirez is called up to backup and Lyons is promoted to AAA to catch every day.

  • San Francisco fans are in a state of shock today. SP Chris Edge will miss the remainder of the regular season with a ruptured tendon on his pitching hand. He was 9-5 3.38. The two time Koufax winner and 9-time all-star, as well as 2006 ABA Champion, is coming off a 37-17 last two seasons and the 35-year-old was the 1st overall pick in the 1993 ABA Draft.

Kyle Pollock took home AAA pitcher of the month after going 6-0 4.35. He's 12-1 3.66

We did not sign 2nd round pick Ben Ayala so we will receive a compensation pick in 2008. I am actually grateful in that I don't think this years draft was that deep. We also took a flyer on HS 3B Chris Thompson in the 15th round and he didn't sign.

Also the international free agent signing period started today. 16 year old CF Rodolfo Rojas from Venezuala is far and away the price of this years litter. He's a projectable .330-50-130 guy right now. Oozing hall of fame talent. Serious questions around his work ethic and he's asking 4.4 million. The cap is 1.4. There's also a 3B, Theo Lemaire, from France, yes France, who is a potential huge talent.
