Jon Naclerio is 2-5 5.92 and having a rough season. But that's not the half of it. His K/BB total? 17/18. 17 K's in 48.2 innings. He throws 95-97 mph so the velocity is there. You cannot win at any level punching out 3.1 guys per 9 especially when you're walking 3.3 per 9. Broomhall's lack of options presents problems but I think I am going to need to send this kid back to AAA. Instead of looking for a SP option I think I send him down, bring Broomhall into the rotation and call up a reliever. Reliever Eddie Hein will get his first taste of the big leagues. Sam Ginn has gone down and gotten worse if that's possible.
Also in the news, top draft pick Andy Elizondo agreed to terms. He'll open at Hobbs. FWIW Hobbs might have as stacked a lineup as I've ever put together in the minors.
