TARPONS, NICKELS CONFIRM SWAP
27-year-old Seb Broomhall is heading north, far north, from Miami. The pitcher was dealt, along with the Tarpons 8th round draft choice, to the Buffalo Nickels for 25 year old IF prospect Moromao Yamaoka and 19-year old P prospect Bill Adrian.

This was as much about the Rule 5 draft as anything. I feel very good about the organization's depth on the mound and both of these players are potential 25 man roster, guys. Yamaoka is a versatile defender who can play 2B, SS, and 3B as well as left field. He hits RH and stole 33 bases last year at AAA. He has 3 options remaining.
Adrian was a scout pick, our guys like him a lot. He's just 19 and has 52 total innings in pro-ball. He signed with Buffalo out of Handley HS as a 5th rounder in 2007.
