Wrong Turn: A GM/Manager Career Story
Prologue:
I should have taken that left turn at Albuquerque.
It's easy to look back and Monday Morning Quarterback life's decisions.
Hindsight is always 20/20.
But, seriously, I should have taken that left turn at Albuquerque.
Instead, I was unlocking the door to my one bedroom rental home in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Once again, back in the baseball world.
"You are 51 years old, Bobby James," I scolded myself. "When will you ever grow up?"
And I already knew the answer to that question.
As long as baseball still existed in the universe, I would never grow up.
