August 22nd, 2025: We got tomorrow off, and will head home to face the Nationals. We'll see Cole Ragans (13-7, 3.61 ERA) and Jay Groome (6-10, 5.20 ERA) in a quick two game series before another off day.

August 23rd, 2025: We opened the series with Shoehi Ohtani (3-3, 4.15 ERA, 1.34 WHIP) facing Cole Ragans (13-7, 3.61 ERA, 1.30 WHIP). The Nationals got 5 in the 5th and 4 in the 9th to win 9-7. Two bad innings...

August 24th, 2025: The Yankees will be without veteran reliever Yimi Garcia with radial nerve compression. He was 2-0 with a 4.09 ERA.

We looked to escpae with the split with Jake Florence (7-8, 4.10 ERA, 1.43 WHIP) facing Jay Groome (6-10, 5.20 ERA, 1.42 WHIP). It was a beautiful pitching matchip, and we shut them out 1-0.

Florence was amazing, looking like the #1 pick he was, going 8 innings with 4 hits, a walk, and 9 strikeouts. Moya made up for it, getting the save with a perfect 9th.

Thomas Dillard was 1-for-3 with a solo homer. Austin Hendrick was 1-for-2 with a hit by pitch.

Tomorrow was another day off, before we welcome the AL Central Indians to town.

August 25th, 2025: Juan Ramirez hasn't recovered as planned, and there is no update to when he'll return. He was hitting .397/.457/.770 with 9 homers, 33 RBI's, and 9 steals in 32 games.

At 75-51, we rank #1 in the power rankings.

The Indians come to town, and we'll see Kyle Molnar (6-10, 4.32 ERA), Jim Voyles (3-2, 5.81 ERA), and Yonny Chirinos (9-10, 4.92 ERA). We're just 1.5 games out of first, and we could take the division again with a solid series here before we host the Braves.

Aufust 26th, 2025: Walker Buehler (7-6, 2.45 ERA, 1.02 WHIP) opened the series against Kyle Molnar (6-10, 4.32 ERA, 1.29 WHIP). It was another great pitching duel, and we took the opener 2-1.

Nationals SP Jhon Vergara will also miss the rest of the year with shoulder inflammation. The 25-year-old was in his first season with the Nationals, and was 4-7 with a 5.32 ERA and 74 strikeouts in 116.2 innings.

We looked to walk away with a split with Steve Paustian (7-5, 4.23 ERA, 1.45 WHIP) taking on former Marlin Yonny Chirinos (9-10, 4.82 ERA, 1.33 WHIP). We got some offense today, and won the finale 8-3.

Greg Walston, however, left with a herniated disc, and will hit the deal for hopefully just 10 days.

Paustian went 5.2 innings with 5 hits, 3 runs, 5 walks, and 4 strikeouts. Walston and Hyo-jin Yaung got holds before we broke away in the 8th.
