  • 6/15: FLA 9 LV 8 (13) Get this, 8-1 entering the 9th, we are leading! Mendoza gets nobody out, Yamada and Galindo combine 1 IP 4 H 4 BB 5 runs plus allowing 2 IR to score. Then Turner and Grab go 4 IP 1 H 4 K Grab gets the W (2-0 0.84) Insane win out of what could have been a crushing loss.

  • 61st overall draft pick Amari McEady signed today. He'll report to Class A Farmington. His signing means we have all our picks under contract.
  • Steve White (NY) struck out 3 in a 4-0 CG shutout of Alaska.

  • Juan Flores is just 5K votes behind Detroit's Sergio Marrero and Kennan Hallamore leads AL shortstops by 150K votes. Ernesto Galindo leads, and Brad Turner is 4th in voting for Relievers. Sergio Robles leads all AL players in voting.

GM'S OFFICE
Backup infielder Moramao Yamaoka was optioned out today. Having appeared in just 10 games all year I'll let Harland Daig handle it all and call up Chris Christman who has been destroying AAA pitching. He'll take over DH duties vs RHP allowing DJ Adams to be a bat off the bench and backup 1B.

  • After the outing trainer Sue Falsone informed the manager that Sugihara was complaining of some tingling and numbness in his throwing hand. She's telling me it doesn't look like anything serious but we're getting it checked anyway.
  • Tousei Sato (LV) continues his Koufax assault throwing a 5 hitter, striking out 12 in a 2-0 win over Memphis to move to 10-1 2.04.
  • Arturo Guerrero (SF) had a career day going 5-5 but it was all for naught as the Bears were beaten 10-5 by San Diego.
  • 6/20: DEN 4 FLA 1 (11) Juan Alatorre PotG went 9.1 IP 6 H 1 ER 1 BB 7 K and got a ND when Andy Lee tagged Jake Grab (2-1 1.99) for a 3 run walk off HR.
  • Flores 2-4 2 SB (42) Saldana 2-5 (starting to show some life .224)
  • Ted Barlow (DET) scattered 7 hits en route to a 2-0 win over Alaska. He's 7-4 3.61
  • RJ Stanton (CHI) punched out 11 in a 2-0 win over Minnesota. He's 7-3 3.41
  • Jorge Hurtado (NE) struck out 9 in a 2-0 win over Kansas City. He's 5-6 4.2 3

  • Hobbs got off to a great start winning 15-7 on opening day. Prospect Mike Pottratz went 3-4 hitting 2 homers, including a grand slam, and driving in 7.
  • 2009 top pick Juan Galindo is 4-8 HR 6 RBI in their 1st two games and OF prospect Chion Uehara is 6-9 HR 6 RBI's as well.
  • Dan Darpin (PHX) threw a 2-hitter in a 3-0 win over St Louis. He's 6-7 4.68
