I am also adding prospect (and Rule 5 eligible Jamie Okereke (.256-25-95 at AA) because he's the best CF in the organization and Leith Bursey is DtD for the week with a quad issue. So Okereke will get some starts.

Maddox Sweetland went 2-3 in a 15-2 loss today. The 2 hits extended his hitting streak to 25 games.
Bears star Mike Lloyd took home the NL Sandy Koufax award in 2006 going 16-3 2.83. Since then Mike has made 7 starts and 37 relief appearances totaling 54 innings. After over a year off to repair a rotator cuff issue, he was told today he will undergo another procedure to repair the cuff again. The 31-year-old moved to a closer's role this year to lighten the innings load. He's in year 4 of a 7 year 44.2 million dollar deal signed after the 2006 season. He has a player opt out after this year but most think that's now a foregone conclusion as he won't pitch until mid-2010 at the earliest.

RJ Stanton had 17 strikeouts in 8 innings in Chicago's 4-1 win over Denver. It was the 9th time in his career he's punched 15 or more and the 4th time he's struck out 17 or more.
