47 games was all GM Darrell Woodard had to see. The 16-31 Phoenx Roadrunners fired manager Kohei Tanaka today and within an hour of that firing annoucned they'd traded 25 year old SP Zeke Spruill and a minor leaguer to San Francisco for Canadian P prospect Maddox Poliskin.
Spruill was 12-14 5.53 last season and 4-4 5.13 for a dismal Phoenix club this year.
Woodard was mum on word of a replacement for Tanaka.

The Cowboys announced young phenom Misao Yoshikawa will miss the next 12-18 months after undergoing Tommy John Surgery today. He was 6-2 2.94 in 10 starts last year and 4-3 3.93 through 10 this year. This is the 2nd straight season he's ended up on the DL after 10 starts and missed the rest of the year. Last year it was to a torn tendon in his throwing hand.
