May recap
- AL PLAYER OF THE MONTH- Eric Hecht (ALK) .413-12-32 (.369-15-47)
- NL PLAYER OF THE MONTH- Jim Bivens (WAS) .419-7-27 (.384-9-38)
- AL PITCHER OF THE MONTH- Tousei Sato (LV) 5-0 1.43 (9-0 1.77) + a No-hitter
- NL PITCHER OF THE MONTH- Sergio Guerrero (BUF) 5-0 1.95 (6-2 4.01)
- AL ROOKIE OF THE MONTH- Jimmy Burmeister (DET) 313-1-13 (.265-1-23)
- NL ROOKIE OF THE MONTH- Hyuuga Izumi .430-2-16 (.357-3-29) 38-year-old “rookie” from Japan
 - All over the AL leaderboards. Kennan Hallamore is coming into his own. Ben Chase is going to be exactly as good as I thought he was on draft day.
- Take a look at the standings. 13 of 30 teams in the ABA are at or above .500. That seems extremely low though I am unsure I've ever paid that much attention. Our division and the NL West appear to be runaways today, with both central on the verge though with Chicago's pitching and their financial freedom I never discount them.
- The NL West looks like it might be fun the 2nd half.
- Did anyone Tell Camacho and Grohs it's now June? That's pretty late in the year to be .400, much less 2 guys.
- In Arizona, the Roadrunners have signed former SF Bears bench coach Clint Hurdle to a 3-year 1.3m dollar contract. The 52-year-old managed 1 season in Milwaukee (1998 80-82) before signing on with the Bears and being their bench coach from 2002 until today. That team made the postseason from 2002-07 winning it all in 2006.
- Hurdle is known to be a very offensively driven skipper.
