CARR OUT, TURNER IN FOR TARPONS
Jim Carr was told after last nights 2-1 win in which he suffered his 3rd blown save that he would no longer be closing. Brad Turner has been given the role many thought he should have had since spring training. Both players seemed to take the news in stride with Carr remarking “what can I say? I want to close but wanting and doing are two very different things. I'm not doing the job. Chad deserved better after all that last night and no one feels worse than I did.”
“I just throw the ball when they tell me to” the 29-year-old 3 time Gossage Award winner Brad Turner remarked.
