We are picking 24th in the 1st round, then 14th (38th overall) in the Supplemental round which has 17 picks.
2nd in the 2nd round (43rd overall) 18th in the 2nd round (59th) 3rd in the 3rd round (67th).

The Surge selected USC shortstop Chad Donley as the top overall selection. He projects to be an SS or 3B with line to line power.

Rd Pick Player
1) #24 Savion Galbreath 6' 195 A switch-hitting catcher out of Northwestern. Consensus pick and one we didn't expect to be able to have this late in the round. Projects as a legit 3 hole bat with power and is a bit better from the right side than left but not enough to warrant a platoon.
Sup) #38 Mike Neal 5'10” 175 Right-handed power arm out of Illinois. Works 97+ with easy mechanics and has a Clydesdales stamina. While certainly not a leader he's a great teammate according to all reports. A bit on the small side for starters as far as we are concerned but the mechanics+stuff made it an easy pick.
2) #43 Curt Gardner 6'1” 180 Left-handed power arm out of Nebraska. Another kid who works consistently in the upper 90's with 225+ inning potential. Fastballs a little too straight right now but has all the makings of a top of the rotation arm.
2) #59 Joel King 6'1” 175 High school left-hander whose already sitting in the 90's. Huge upside projections and just 19 years old.
3) #67 Ted Sanders 6'7” 205 RH high school kid with huge physical presence. I wanted Chris Post, whom I believe is a huge power bat that shouldn't still be here. But our folks think Sanders will be gone by our next pick and there's some consensus this kid could be a legit #1.
4) Chris Post is still on the board and we take him. Many think it's an impossible sign but we will see. We don't pick again until the end of the 6th
6) Jim Landry 21 6'1” 195 LHH OF
7) Jerrod Wallach 21 6'2” 200 SWITCH OF
8) Pat Thomas 21 6'1” 190 RHH 2B
10) Pat Yaboah 21 6'2” 190 LHP
