I started my fictional sim (all fictional teams and players) with real world 1946 and have progressed forward in time. I've gotten to where I want and want to lock everything--no more statistical progression to the next real life year and the modifiers to remain static. I also don't want real world finances to change anymore, just by the inflation factor on the financials tab.

I can't seem to keep it locked though; the game keeps progressing to the next year. What am I missing?
