  • BAD LOSS ENDS DISASTROUS DAY IN FLORIDA
  • News was grim out of the Tarpon clubhouse following their 14-6 defeat at the hands of the Milwaukee Hawks. In addition to the loss the club learned 27 year old RHP Yasushi Sugihara would require season ending surgery after it was learned he'd torn his rotator cuff during his start Wednesday. Doctors said he'd likely miss “at a minimum 13-14 months, possibly more”. The club recalled LH reliever Tyson Umroh and said righty Luis Balderas would take Sugihara's spot in the rotation.
  • Chicago's RJ Stanton punched out 17 in the Hitmen's 13-4 pasting of Ohio. He's 3-0 2.10 and leads the AL in K's with 37 through his 1st three games.
