78-54, 1st place, 8th in Power Rankings
--Well we got cold and the Mets got hot - now they find themselves trailing us by 3 games in the division. Our offense collectively slumped in August, in fact Adam Eaton was the only regular with an OPS+ above 100. Luckily, we're due for some positive regression in that regard. Pitching-wise, things have been just fine. We're currently ranked 2nd in the NL in team ERA with a mark of 3.66. Kershaw, however, has struggled as of late and has greatly reduced his chances of winning the Cy Young. He still carries an ERA below 3 though - and we'd much rather have him struggle now than October.
As a unit, we must play to our fullest potential in September! It has been too magical of a season to end up in 2nd place, even if it warrants a Wildcard spot. Let's do this!
