August 3rd-August 9th
August 3rd, 2028: We opened the four game set in Atlanta with Luis Ardon (8-3, 3.51 ERA, 1.26 WHIP) taking on Juan Ochoa (0-1, 6.52 ERA, 1.55 WHIP). Aaron Boone is using an interesting lineup, 5 lefties then 4 righties. Makes it easy to get the platoon advantage...
Well, I guess in the long run, it didn't matter, and we took the opener 3-2.
Luis Alcantra left with a strained forearm, and will head to the DL for about 2 weeks. He allowed a run in 0.1 innings with a walk and 2 hits.
Ardon was great, 7 innings with 3 hits, 1 run, 2 walks, and 7 strikeouts. Jamie Priest got the win, getting a 1 pitch out to end the 9th. Chad Scoles got the save, striking out 2 in a perfect 9th.

Royals' SS Francisco Lindor recorded his 2,500th (and 2,501st) career hit today. The 34-year-old has a career .306/.373/.512 triple slash with 348 homers and 1,251 RBI's in 8,163 at bats.
August 4th, 2028: I recalled Leonel Olvera from AAA to replace Alcantra on the active roster.
Game two saw Jorge Flores (7-11, 3.95 ERA, 1.14 WHIP) take on the struggling Konnor Pilkington (4-10, 6.42 ERA, 1.89 WHIP). We got 4 in the 6th, and backed up Flores stellar performance in a 5-1 win.
Flores went 5.1 innings with 2 hits, 3 walks, and 9 strikeouts. Blayne Enlwo finsihed the 6th, and got a strikeout, but allowed a solo homer. Jarred Kelenic tossed 1.1 innings with a hti and strikeout.

August 5th, 2028: We looked to keep rolling with Devon Peterson (10-7, 3.84 ERA, 1.32 WHIP) taking on Ty Madden (8-6, 2.96 ERA, 1.06 WHIP) who's on a nice hot streak right now that is begging to be cooled off. It wasn't cooled, and both teams managed just 2 runs a piece trhough the first 9. Juan Simental hit a pinch-hit two-run single in the 10th, and we topped the Braves 4-2 in 10.
Peterson went 7 innings with 3 hits, 2 runs, 5 walks, and a strikeout. Trevor Gott got(t) the win, 2 innings with a hit, walk, and 2 strikeouts. Chad Scoles earned the save, allowing a hit and striking out 2 in the 10th.
