August 21st 1899 Update
The race for the American League heated up in a very big way. Both Louisville and Washington won 10 straight games
. Meanwhile Cleveland fell to second place.
Boston Reds slid further away with their 12th straight loss. Over in the National League, the Orphans continue to hold a small lead over Pittsburgh.

The Senators got their groove back. Cy Young fired three straight shut outs. We fired 4 so far in August, with Togie Pittinger picking up the other one. For the first time in
History of the League, three brothers played in the same game. The Delahanty brothers, Ed and Tom for the Senators and Jim for the Colonels. We won 7-2.
