I used to not check it and did the shifting of positions to see how ratings changed. I do now, though, primarily because I did not like the RP ratings relative to other players. How many RP’s legitimately rate as an 80 in MLB versus the entirety of major league players? 2-4 maybe? Yes, a Kimbrel or Jansen or Chapman can be of relative importance to winning an equal to a start SP or batter, but there are very few of those guys. I like seeing RP’s more appropriately valued as a lot of 35-65 guys, with a few above that.
