you never lose control over strategy... no visible ratings, nothing in manual specifically about ratings, either way and no mention that i've seen in forums.
even an easy-going coach will usurp control with enough success and time.
i make a "mini-me." then, recreate a new one as i retire. i make 10 gm's and take the one with the best ratings. i don't know if i like an immortal coach the more i get used to this method. i get to compare how i did at incremental steps too.. e.g. i j ust made a slight tweak to def strategy with new coach. the results have been horrendous and will be reverted, but i usually let it roll for a career. of course the history page gives as much info, lol.
