Alright, so my team in spite of only ONE scheduled off day for September does really well, 19-10. It might have been even better but for this problem:

During the season on my depth chart every starter is set to start backup if tired and it works well. However, I get close to the end of a tight battle to determine who wins division or ends up a wild card and all of the sudden sparky stops subbing for my tired starters! I looked in on them only to find them either exhausted or down in low 30% and so on. Really?

The main damage was in using the same relievers, including Papelbon who was put in way tired to blow two games to end the season and I had rested high Gold and Diamond relievers. Huh?

I had NO warning that was going to happen that all of the sudden sparky is going to override my settings. If someone can point me to where Perfect Team warns me that I will have to micromanage in a tight race to the playoffs because Sparky goes AWOL. For the one-game division decider I had to force FOUR relievers to bench 1 game because they were wiped out and I was afraid Sparky would put them in again.

If this is by design, obviously having learned the hard way I will have to make use of 7-day lineups in a similar scenario at end of season. I don't use that at all during the season or playoffs for that matter. I guess I'll have to force bench relievers also since I won't be able to trust Sparky to not use them. So much for the idea of leaving your team on auto-pilot and only to find out in coming back that you won the WS...not if Sparky is doing that in certain situations. First time I've seen this happen to me or recall anyone else mentioning this (not that I have time to read everything on here).
