Walkers news: May 23 -- St. Louis 5, Madison 0
St. Louis starting pitcher Trevor Bauer and three relievers combined on a six-hit shutout as the River Walkers completed a three-game sweep of the Muskies with a 5-0 win at Busch Stadium.
Bauer handled the first six innings, allowing just three hits while striking out nine and walking two.
Chaz Roe, Jake Diekman and Brad Boxberger all pitched an inning apiece to close out the win.
Michael Conforto tripled off Adam Wainwright to lead off the fourth inning and later scored on a wild pitch to put St. Louis up 1-0.Tucker Barnhart added a solo homer later in the inning.
Conforto hit a solo homer in the sixth and pinch-hitter Andrew Tholes had an RBI single later in the inning to make it 4-0.
Jedd Gyorko hit a solo shot off Drew Steckenrider to lead off the eighth.
